Terms of Service

By accessing or using GEOscan (“the Service”), operated by GEOscan (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

GEOscan is an AI brand visibility intelligence platform that monitors how and when your brand appears in responses generated by third-party AI engines, including ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Perplexity, and Tavily Search.

The Service includes:

• Automated daily keyword scans across selected AI engines.
• Visibility scoring and trend tracking.
• Competitor comparison and keyword ranking analysis.
• Email alerts for score changes.
• PDF report generation and sharing.
• Account and brand management tools.

GEOscan is a monitoring and analytics tool. We do not guarantee any improvement in your brand's AI visibility, nor can we control or influence how third-party AI engines generate their responses.

To access the Service, you must register for an account using a valid email address (via magic link) or a Google account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• Maintain only one account per person or entity.
• Not share your account with others or allow others to access the Service through your credentials.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. GEOscan is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized account access that results from your failure to follow these requirements.

GEOscan offers a free Starter plan and paid subscription plans (Growth and Pro). Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis.

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or billing portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the first 14 days, except where required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
• All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
• We may suspend your account for failed payments, giving you a 7-day grace period to update billing information.

GEOscan queries third-party AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Tavily Search) and reports the results. We do not control, influence, or modify the responses produced by these AI engines.

Visibility scores are approximations computed from AI engine outputs at the time of scanning. AI engine responses are inherently variable — the same query may produce different results at different times, and AI engine behavior, training data, and output policies may change without notice.

• GEOscan makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or consistency of AI engine responses.
• Visibility scores represent a best-effort approximation and should not be relied upon as definitive measures of AI brand presence.
• Changes in AI engine behavior may cause score fluctuations that do not reflect actual changes in your brand's market position.
• GEOscan is not responsible for decisions made based on visibility scores or other data provided by the Service.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Service beyond normal platform use.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the Service beyond your plan's intended use.
• Resell, sublicense, or distribute GEOscan data or reports to third parties for commercial gain without written permission.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content that could harm the Service or other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or GEOscan's infrastructure.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these acceptable use guidelines.

GEOscan Platform: The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, scoring models, report templates, and all related intellectual property, is owned by GEOscan and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the platform without our written permission.

Your Data: You retain full ownership of all brand data, keywords, and other content you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant GEOscan a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your brand data.

Scan Results: AI engine scan results generated on your behalf through the Service are made available to you for your own internal business use. You may use these results in your reports and communications, but you may not resell raw scan data.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GEOscan and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to GEOscan in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

By you: You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. Upon deletion, your account data will be removed within 30 days per our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees after the grace period, or engage in conduct that we reasonably determine to be harmful to other users, the Service, or GEOscan.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, shall survive termination.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or emailing you at the address on your account.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
